The Company was established by Late Mr. Shanti Sheth in 1938. Mr. Sheth, a scientist, philanthropist and entrepreneur, worked for several years in a well known pharmaceutical company before starting his own business under the name of the Kirti Works (Tablets).
Mr. Sheth commenced business in Matunga, Mumbai (then Bombay), where all company operations, including manufacturing and marketing of pharmaceuticals products, were carried out for the first twenty years. Subsequently, Mr. Sheth purchased additional land in Jogeshwari (West), a suburb of Mumbai, where a manufacturing facility for solid and liquid oral drug products was built in the year 1961. Sales, Marketing and administrative functions remained at the Matunga location, where they continue till today. Operations have also expanded to include a branch office in the state of Gujarat. |
